The Art
of Integrative Hypnosis:
A Comprehensive Hypnosis Training
Level One
and Two Certification Training
(80hours-Classroom Training plus 40 hours of Individual
Application)
(Approved by the
American Board of Hypnotherapy and The International Association
of Counselors and Therapists)
You are invited to begin your journey into the field of hypnosis.
Some of you have found us in pursuit of a new profession, some of you
would like to acquire another powerful set of tools to assist in your
current profession, and others of you may have simply found us
out of
sheer curiosity. And we are delighted with whichever path that
has led you here.
Who is using
hypnosis?
Although you might
think therapists are the only people using hypnotic tools, today
however, this is not so.
Sales professionals use hypnosis to paint vivid pictures in
their prospects minds. Persuasion experts such as marketers and
advertisers use words in a precise manner to move you in a certain direction. Negotiators use
specific elements of rapport building and elegant language
patterns to navigate between
opposing sides to come to a win-win resolution for both parties. Doctors and
dentists use hypnosis to suggest faster and more thorough
recovery. They have also been known to use hypnosis as a natural
anesthetic to reduce the amount of drugs needed, and also in
cases where patients are allergic to traditional anesthesia.
And the most obvious use of hypnosis would have to be by
Hollywood (That's how they keep you in those theater seats for
hours at a time). So the real question is who isn't using
hypnosis?
Can I get a
general overview of the whole training?
Sure. In each of the weekends of the two levels, we will be covering specific
aspects of the concept of hypnosis, so that you walk away with a global
understanding of the field as well as specific maps/models,
techniques, and applications of which hypnosis is comprised. We
will also cover the history as well as learn from the leaders in
the field such as Estabrooks, Elman, and of course the
late, great Milton H. Erickson who was a master of
conversational hypnosis.
The objective of each level varies. Level One focuses more on
the basics. Level Two delves into more advanced components.
Who should attend?
Whether you are
interested in this course for your personal development, for
becoming certified as a Hypnotist, for acquiring greater depth
and flexibility as a communicator, for learning persuasive and
hypnotic sales techniques, or for developing proficiency as a
hypnotist, you will learn powerful skills and techniques that
you can immediately incorporate into your life and your work.
The first weekend of Level One is open to all participants, no prerequisites.
How will this training
differ from others out there?
If you have looked
around there are many hypnosis trainings out there, and it is
important to choose the best one for you. Some of them teach you
hypnosis totally consciously, so you can really talk
intelligently about hypnosis without any real skill, while
others are teaching it completely unconsciously, so you don't
have a clue as to how you know what you know. The focus of this
training, as the name states, is on integrating the best in
hypnosis, hypnotherapy, and the art and science of personal
change. And to do that effectively means learning hypnosis at
both the conscious and unconscious levels. We believe that this
will build a solid foundation for those of you who desire to go
further in this field.
If I am already a
Hypnotist, how can I still benefit from this training?
First of all,
Hypnotists need at least 15 continuing education credits
per year in accordance with most certifying organizations. This is will fulfill that requirement. But more
importantly, most hypnotists have learned to do hypnosis
with a script, and when the client doesn't fit into the mold of
the script, then the hypnotist is "stuck." This training
will take your skills beyond scripted hypnosis. You may still use a
script if you choose, but after this training, you will have the
skills, confidence, and a framework to customize trance for each
person. And that means, better results... And that means more
referrals!
Another thing you
can expect from this training is a closer look at you. You'll be
requested to explore new ways for you to enter and experience
trance. You'll discover more about your own inner world, which
will lead to a greater understanding about the uniqueness of
other people's inner worlds. In short, this training will
provide you an opportunity to work on you for you.
How many hours of training
is sufficient?
That depends on how
the training is conducted. Most institutes that teach hypnosis
as an academic subject in an academic style, teach it in 500+
hours. Others send you on your way in a weekend training course.
In those cases, you end up having a very minimal understanding
and hardly any skill development of hypnosis. There are even
some schools certifying individuals who are only required to
read books, listen to tapes, and watch videos. And although that
may assist in understanding hypnosis, skill acquisition comes
from practice, plain and simple. Hypnosis is something that must
be experienced from both chairs (the hypnotist's chair and the
client's chair) to have thorough comprehension. What we are
offering you is a comprehensive training with sufficient hours
of classroom training and more importantly a strong emphasis on
practicing the science of hypnosis, so that it eventually
becomes an art that you make your own. At the end of the day,
the real training begins with your clients, who are your "real"
teachers.
